For now I think I will keep the musical focus of the blog and website on the electronica genre, with the main focus being house, down tempo, chill, trip hop and Goth style E.B.M., Industrial, and Darkwave. Occasionally there will be some punk, rockabilly, and surf reviews, but there isn’t a lot out there in the rockabilly / psychobilly genres.
I added some c.s.s. to the main page for looks. It was my first attempt at c.s.s. and I think it came out pretty cool. The page just looked a little flat so I added a purple box around the page and a matching dragon. It should load properly in most browsers I hope. I figured I should get with the times and make an attempt at trying to learn at least the basics of c.s.s.
I added a blog roll to the links page, and I will be adding more links shortly. I feel the links page now looks a lot better than just a page of links. I will be adding more useful links shortly. I still want to make a few more changes to the pages format and then I will add some cool links as I come across them on the internet.
Here’s a quick Windows 7 and new computer update. Learning to type on a laptop can be compared to trying to type with your dick. I’m slowly getting the hang of it (typing on the laptop, not typing with my dick). I can type out letters and blog posts no problem but coding is turning out to be a bit of a hassle. I suppose it will just take a bit to get used to the new keyboard layout.
Windows 7 has a feature to write blog posts for blogger and some of the other popular blogging websites out there. I thought this was a really cool feature until I tried to use it today. Maybe, I just have to configure it, but when I went to set it up I found out I have to be online. I thought this would be a good feature for any pre written blog posts I decide to write throughout the day. If you have to be logged onto the internet why would I need their crappy software to do it when I can just go directly to BlogSpot to post. Blogger can be a bit buggy, so who knows, maybe after I get it configured it will work offline or use it to post if it’s not as buggy as the blogger interface.
Anyway, I think I’m back to posting regularly. People often ask does life imitate art, or does art imitate life. Not that this blog is any great depository of the written word, or that the crap I post here could even be considered a literary achievement of any sort, but in the case of this blog art imitates life. When I was just geeking out on my computer and playing chess, there was nothing funny going on, thus the shortage of posts. As I find cool and interesting stuff online and in real life is when I post to the blog. If I don’t find anything interesting or worth mentioning I try not to write anything or I find a video or some cheesy pictures to add here. As long as I go about my day I can usually find at least something interesting to write about (I hope). If I don’t fall into a coding trance, or chess binge I should be fine.
On that note, I just started beating level 2 chess titans regularly. Well I’m at a 10% win / draw ratio. That’s after the 41 games in a row the computer kicked my ass. I have now played 92 games (0h the shame ) and just feel like I’m starting to get some basic chess skills back. I’m going to try to get to 50% win draw ratio and then try level 3. With the original losing streak that’s not going to be for awhile. Ya, I know chess is boring, who gives a crap.
I should be posting regularly so “Thank you, come again!” quote to be said in cheesy East Indian accent.
